Custom URL Protocol Specification
During installation, the application registers the custom URL protocol with the operating system. Web pages that link to an image using this custom protocol can have the image open directly in the desktop Mango application (if in Windows or Mac OS X) or iMango (if on an iPad).
For example, click here to open this image directly in Mango: mango://mangoviewer.com/data/sample_image.nii.gz.
This feature is supported in Windows and Mac OS X, starting with Mango version 2.5. This feature is also supported on the iPad, starting with iMango version 1.1.
